WS-LOCKOUT Datasheet
Leading Features
- Denies users access to the WaveSurfer’s operating
system and hard drive
- Allows for use of peripherals and USB memory devices
- Eliminates the ability to minimize or exit the WaveSurfer
application
In some situations, such as
a student lab or where an oscilloscope is shared between
many users, it may be advantageous to limit user access
to the oscilloscope’s operating system and hard drive. In
these cases the WaveSurfer 400 series oscilloscope’s WS-LOCKOUT
option can be installed. This option prevents users from
minimizing or exiting the WaveSurfer application, as well
as denying remote control of the WaveSurfer. In addition
the WSLOCKOUT option prevents the user from changing any
of the operating system settings and from accessing the
hard drive. While operating a WaveSurfer with the WS-LOCKOUT
option, data such as screen captures and waveforms can be
saved to a USB memory device.
